Mattingley to Upton Grey - 25 miles

We came back from our week of cycling on ebikes in Croatia 2 days ago, so today back to peddle power. My Oro bike just been for it's first service, so need to test it out before my next holiday on Wednesday to Suffolk.

I've just spent two days doing my holiday blog, so this is  already a day late, and so will be the quickest blog I can do. 😂

From Mattingly to Rotherwick and through the grounds of Tylney Hall

Then left at the Newnman XRoads and downhill to pass the mill house
and left to cross to Andwell.

Im not so familiar with the next few miles which go to Mapledurehwell and Tunworth, although have done it recently in the opposite direction.

From the signpost a bit of climb up to Weston Patrick.

Passing through Down Farm Lane.

After a climb of between 6-11% I recognised this view!

Lots of colourful thistles around today.

We arrived in Upton Grey from Weston Patrick, with the pond on our left.
then left turn to the shop. These dogs were a bit yappy!

We continued through Upton Grey on Bidden Road (the main road from Odiham)
and turned right into Ford Lane. I knew where I was!

From Ford Lane, we continiued over  a X Roads, up hill a bit and into Long Sutton, turning left just before the pond in to Wood Hill Lane.

Our usual route now back to Odiham, to pass under the road at the canal.

We continued on the main road to Whitehall, and then into Potbridge Road, to go under the M3 and over the railway, and emerge to use the A30 footpath to turn at Murrell Green to West Green.

Tiny footpath! As we turn at Murrell Green.

Almost back to Mattingly church, and pink Himalayan Balm in flower.
