Just Andrea and myself free today from the Woosehill Ladies group. A warm day, hotting up to 24 degrees by the time we finished. I organised a ride to Stubbings, doing more of a circular route than normal, including getting lost across Maidenhead Thicket. A dog walker convinced us we had to cross a footbridge over the a404, even through I knew we didn't. We sorted it out eventually, and smiled at her as we passed her again in the opposite direction to the one she pointed us in! We kept a good pace at least for the part I know about, the first 13 miles, when we had an average 11.8mph. My Garmin failed (yet again) freezing at 13 miles. Fortunately I was familiar with most of the route, so not a huge problem, but time to send it back. Have been left with a frozen screen too many times now.
This is the route I had planned.
thanks for your company Andrea!
