First time out for 3 weeks and I knew it! Phew. Legs are shot.
Group of 11 today including Daphne who has not been around much for around 18 months. Good to see you again.
Today's team lead by Carole.
Liliana, Linda, Linda B, Carol, Sally, Daphne, Lottie, Hazel, Kay and me.
Usual route from FBC past Arborfield Officers Mess, then left towards Farley Hill, where we turned off Church Road, right into Church Lane.
Then another short detour into Sandpit Lane and Nutbean Lane missing out part of the busy Swallowfield Road. Then over via the Bull at Risley, up Bull Lane, to Wellington Farm Shop. Nice day when we arrived, but forecasts of rain later this morning, so didn't hang about too long.
Our return trip back along Part Lane, where we saw 3 Peacocks on the road. Why did the Peacock cross the road? Because 11 cyclist were heading its way.
A right turn into School Road, half way back down Part Lane.
And across Bramshill Plantation....often see horses too on the track here.
Good to be back on my bike after the New York trip, but feeling very unfit, and need to build up again. Thanks to all for your company, and Carole for leading.
