A new route today and also 2 new ladies I had not met before.
The Route
The team - Maria, Ravinder, Lisa, Kelly, Chris, Julie.
A grey day, so a black and white blog today.
My usual route via Blagrove Lane where I took my first photo.
We met at FBC, Finchampstead, headed along Nine Mile Ride, left in to Park Lane, then straight across the Reading Road to New Mill Lane, heading for the ford.
Shortly we disappeared into the Bramshill Plantation
After leaving the plantation, we turned right and soon left into Plough Lane.
Plough Lane continued for a few miles, then we crossed over the busy B3011, at The Shoulder of Mutton Pub. Nice quiet lanes, then a right heading for West Green, and on to Hartley Whitney
Kelly had already sussed out the tea stop, which was The Courtyard Cafe in HW High Street, but we arrived by the back gate so that we had somewhere to park our bikes. We had our tea stop indoors, but a great venue for a warmer day to sit outside.
Before our return back on the same route, I insisted on a few photos at the duck pond.
A lovely ride, just lacking some sunshine. I am sure we will repeat, so perhaps some colour photos next time. Thanks Kelly for organising.
