Full of cold and not quite fit for any hills today. There was no official Breeze Ride publicised, but having missed the last two weeks, I was desperate to get back out there before I became even more unfit. I suggested meeting up for a short ride around Hurst Lanes area for a few locals ladies.
I cycled out to Barkam Road/ Blagrove Lane to meet up with Susie, Carole, Sally and Stephanie, who made there way up from Crowthorne via Finchampstead. After a few minutes a call to say they were waiting for me at Barkam/Doles Lane, so a short delay before we met up.
As we made our way towards Winnersh, Kelly rang to say she was waiting for us at Finchampstead! Unfortunately no one had got the email to say she was joining us. Kelly is FAST so she soon caught up with us as we waited just outside Dinton Pastures.
A leisurely ride around the lane of Hurst, with several stops for nose blowing today as 3 us were suffering. Not great weather for photos enroute. The usual route around Hurst, passed the duck pond, then left into School lane and the climb up to The Castle Inn. A nice downhill then to join the main road where we pull off and divert into the back entrance of Dinton Pastures.

Discussions over tea/coffee about plans for the coming weeks as with Kelly and Stephanie also now trained up as Breeze leaders, the chance to visit a few new areas known to them, such as Windsor park, Winkfield area, and Wellington Park and over to Hartley Whitley from Finchampstead side. Plans too perhaps to drive to the Chilterns for some "unofficial" trips on a monthly basis for those of us who might manage a few hills. Getting off and walking is permitted!
