BR assisting and filming with Hazel to Ferneygroe

I joined Hazel today for a Friday ride to Fernygrove starting at Cantley. I had asked if ok to film her at the start for our Breeze film?  She had said yes, but was a bit nervous about it. She was a natural!

At the car park, we moved to the field edge, away from all the parked cars to get some space, and not be in anyone's way. I could not believe that part way through our 1 min of filming a car reversed in the  space RIGHT NEXT TO US! Hazel even had to tell me to watch my back, he was coming too close. Honestly.  His window was open, and I did say something to the effect of "Really? You have the whole car park!".   He clearly wasn't bothered.  That was HIS space. 😡 Look at all the empty spaces in this photo he had to chose from.

Hazel doing a great job with mic attached introducing herself and the ride.
3 new or newish ladies out today.
Denise, Debbie, Wendy, Eva and Janet

Hazel leads the way out of Cantley.

Eva looking like she is enjoying the Binfield Road, with Wendy following.

Next we cut through a very muddy Monks Alley. I took my glasses off on the go, hooked them on my jacket, and they promptly fell off in in the mud, so had to go back for them.

I got ahead for this shot at the Binfield Church Lychgate, framing the riders as the approached
down the hill to turn left.    The bus arrived at EXACTLY the wrong  time,
as Hazel approached the junction. Aggghh. NO  chance of a take 2.

Crossing the footbridge at Westleigh Mill, then
straight on more muddy track all the way to Ferneygrove.

Coffee time. We sat out, in a gusty northerly wind. Brrr. It was 12 degrees.

3 of the riders kindly agreed to record a few words about their ride for the Breeze film. Thank you ladies.

A few more muddy tracks to get us back to Binfield, where Denise left us, as we climbed up the cheeky spike of Tilehurst Lane. Finally back down Binfield Road, and onto the cyclepaths back to Cantley.

Thank you Hazel. My hubby who cleaned my bike yesterday, is not amused. 😂😂😂 Nice to meet the new ladies, and hope to see them on another ride soon.
