Wargrave Loop on New Bike! - 25 miles

A Sunday morning local ride today, since going to friends for a BBQ later. First outing for my new ORO Terra C bike, and loved the electronic gearing. 😊

Our usual route, through Hurst Lanes where the Cow Parsleys had really opened this last few days.

John took this on my camera. Knew I should have put it in to sports mode!
Completely out of focus.

From Shurlock Row, we rode around the back lane, and then joined the road where the hay stack is, since John had never really noticed it.  Just before on our right, I spotted "highland cow colouring", and thought there was a small version? I got off to walk back and through the gate of Waltham Farm.

We chatted to the farmer, who told us little girl is 1 week old.

And he only bought this blonde cow a week ago, and she gave birth
5 days ago. A boy. The cow not in the best of health, but the farmer plans to
improve her condition.

Then continuing into WSL. I was here already last week, but thought I'd stop for just one photo. The Village Coronation Party is thankfully today, since yesterday was a very wet day!

WSL Coronation Flags amongst the cow parsley.

Tea Stop at Wargrave Marina

All the bikes arrives just a few minutes after we did.

Up School Hill to cross the A4, through Ruscombe and down passed the Vineyard to Hurst. Then to the Castle Inn, where we stopped to photograph the scene at the church.

John also took some photos.

Home much earlier than most Sunday rides, and time for John to fit a few more bits onto my new bike, like mudguard, and change to my own saddle. (The one with the bike does not suit me.)

Then off to Geoff and Debi's for a mid afternoon BBQ in  perfect weather. At last! Sitting outside for the first time this year, and even had the parasol up.😎
