Cranbourne Loop - 30 miles

Monday again, and since Dave is still not able to cycle, John joined Linda and me again today. Daphne off for a night away with friends, so not free today. (but also still unwell.)

Linda came to us, and we set off heading for Carters Hill, enroute to Cranbourne. I was  going to take my road bike today, but when I blew up the tyres, a valve broke off, so couldn't take it. John was on his road bike,  and the average speed today was a bit too fast. All this WCC Cycling means he now expects to go faster than before.... hmmm. Not with me! (Average today 12.4)

Over Carters Hill, and a right turn passing Binfield Church, and to Ryehurst Lane.

This garden on Ryehurst Lane always looks very smart.

Then to Moss End, and passing the white calves, a turn to Malt Hill and our usual route to Cranbourne, and to the Honesty Cafe.

The grey door is the outside loo. Linda and I checked out the indoor
one today. Much nicer!

Our return loop was down a very potholed  Drift Road, and right into Fifield. Then we continued on a very potholed B3024 all the way to the edge of Holyport, where we took the Ascot Road to Paley Street junction. Carrying on straight over the motorway we turned left into  Smewins Road in White Waltham, where there a nice show of bluebells along the roadside.

Into Shurlock Row, down the Straight Mile, and right into Broadcommon Lane. We were about to turn left here, when I remembered I had seen a photo on FB of Coronation knitted guards at Hurst Pond, so a change of direction.

Finally, back via Hurst Lanes and over the motorway at Dinton Pastures. 30 miles for us, and 36 for Linda. And all back in good time before the rain came.
