Breeze Cranbourne loop - 25 miles

A Breeze ride today, and I took the ladies to try out the new Honesty Cafe in Cranbourne which opened 2 days ago. (We follow the Honesty Group on FB, so was aware of its opening, infact dropped in to check it out as I passed on a ride on Monday. They have several cafes in West Berkshire, and the cakes are all supplied from the same source. Yum.)

Starting at Woosehill, we used the newish cyclepath to Kingfisher Bridge, then cut through to St Paul's Church, crossing the railway line. Next to Holt Lane to pick up another more recent cyclepath through Cantley, to join more cyclepaths at Dailey Road and Diamond Jubilee Way, as far as Binfield Road. Once in Binfield, we crossed to join Monks Path. Denise had used it  on Monday and said it was fairly dry.

We had several stops today, which were like a syncronised nose blowing performance! It was cool, just around 6 degrees most of the way. A few ladies suffered with chilly fingers, but on the whole we were fine, and glad to be out. From Binfield, we headed to Ryhurst Lane, and Bottle Lane. I spotted a bike jacket which I thought I recognised from a distance, and sure enough it was Cathy out for a ride with a friend.

We warmed up nicely on the little climb at the back of Moss End to Frost Folly, where we briefly stopped for everyone to regroup.

A nice downhill followed to pass Warfield Church, before Malt Hill, and around Maidens Green, then our turn into Crouch Lane.

Here come the others.

The first group in the distance, and about to turn right into
the Honest Cafe.

The cafe is two shipping containers, with seating indoor as well as this
deck for warmer days. A BBQ for summer cooking too.

A terrible photo! My camera steamed up!
This is x -Breeze Champ Nerys with her dog Fergus.
She was just leaving, so gave up the sofa for us.

Sorry Nerys if you are reading this. Camera steamed up.

Nice country views from indoors

Amanda O pinching a bit of Sandra's cake to try it out too.😅

Denise and Kathie.

Delicious coffee and cakes. The one disappointment is that the only loo is at the side of the farm shop, but had run our of loo rolls. I reported this fact, so hopefully will be better managed in future. But of course we ALL had tissues, so not really a problem.😂

I was on the look out for blossom on today's ride.
Not a lot around yet, but his tree lined avenue at the cafe was budding up.

We retraced our route back to Church Lane Warfield, and I did laugh when one lady said, "Oh, I know where we are".  Yes, I said, we were here less than an hour ago. 😂

I had noticed the baby calves as we passed earlier, but they were sitting down, so hoped they would be more visible on our return route. They were at the furthest end of the field, so not a great photo. They look like sheep, but they are cattle with tiny calves.
2 tiny white calves on the right of the photo.
Church Lane, Warfield.

We continued straight on after the Church, to join Osborne Road up to the traffic light crossing in Warfield, then into the pedestrian/cycle track of Watersplash Lane. We used cyclepaths now for the next couple of miles, through to Jocks Lane, where Denise left us to get home.  We used more cycle paths to drop down to the bottom of the ski slop, and crossed the A322 using the pedestrian bridge on Beehive Road.

A further cycle path on the edge of Jennetts Park, and once passed the Oakwood Climbing Centre, a left into the Bi-way, to connect to Easthampstead Road. A little rough and bumpy, but not too muddy. Passed Ludgrove School, and at Finchampstead Road, Louise and Kim left us.  The remainder of the group cut through just off Barkham Road to pick up the Woosehill cycle path once more back to the start. (I think I am right in saying that you get 9p worth of points on the Innovation Valley app for using the final leg, so well worth it.😅)

Thanks all for joining me. A photo below of our route for those who don't know where we were. See you next time.
