I finally felt ready to get back on my bike about a week ago, after a month since my fall, but the weather turned very cold, and icy. Not a good time to try riding again. But today, it was mild, a bit drizzly at times, but the best chance to get out before families descend on us for Christmas!
John is recovering from a nasty cold, so we rode together at a gentle pace, and since it started to rain at the furthest point from home, headed back on the fastest route. Which was long enough anyway. I was pleased to make it over the two motorways as we left Wokingham. 😊
Just off the Straight Mile near Shurlock Row. A grey day. |
Once into White Waltham, we rode down Breadcroft Lane, to use the Knowl Hill circuit across to Bottle Lane. |
Sheep safely grazing, below Church Lane, Hurst. |
I felt fine, but this afternoon, feel a little weary, since I've not done a lot of exercise whilst my ribs were recovering. Pre Xmas cooking being started this afternoon by both of us. John making chocolate custard for the Amaretti and Orange Trifle, using his recently acquired new toy, the Thermomix.
