I collected my new bike yesterday from Specialize in Newbury, and on this freezing cold foggy morning, went out for a short ride with John. (We were due to meet up with family for a socially distanced walk in Caterham, so didn't have long. )
We went up Carters Hill (effortless!), then over to Beenham Heath, returning via Hurst.
It felt at times like a motor was on. And with the "future shock" suspension in the handlebars it's a very comfortable ride too. Very smooth compared to the hard ride of the road bikes I am used to. Also love the SRAM gears with single chain and the gear shift all done with one paddle, either click or push to change up or down the gears. So far so good!
A few photos from around Beenham Heath this morning just outside of Shurlock Row.
