Our Woosehill Ladies group cycled today for the first time since lockdown. Andrea was unfortunately unable to join us, as her husband is still in the shielding group. Lynne and Martina were delighted to escape the kids who are still not attending school. Lynne had to be back by 11.30, so a shortish ride and a 8.45 start, meant we were back in good time.
route
We set off across Wokingham via Ludrove School, across the Redlake Lane Ford, through Ravenswood, then down Ambarrow Lane. A wiggle through to Yateley, into Up Green and then Chequers Lane, where we stopped just short of the pub to take my first photo.
This cottage also on Chequers Lane.
Now the climb into Finchampstead, and up Dell Road. I used my roadbike today, and was quite pleased with how easily I got up Dell Road. Guess the 400 miles of cycling last month must have done my fitness some good!
Next across to Wick Hill Lane (not so good for roadbike!), and then up to Finchampstead church where we stopped for a drink and a snack.
Finally down White Horse Lane, and through California Park. On our way up Nashgrove Lane, we spotted some china "help yourself", so Lynne and Martina had a gravy boat. They made it home in one piece.
Good to see you all after such a long time. Hopefully Andrea can join us next month.
