As we begin our second week of Coronavirus lockdown, restricting us to one form of outdoor exercise each day, John and I rode a route over to Crowthorne. He had never seen Easthampstead Park or Wellington College, so the route was based around incorporating those two places enroute.

After warm weather last week, its turned pretty chilly again today, but at least not windy. Rain started just as we got back home.

Passing through Ludgrove. Met Dave Rapley here out for a run. |
We cut through Easthampstead Park, and connected to Great Hollands area of Bracknell.
|
Deserted park Great Hollands |
We then followed the road next to The Golden Retriever pub, on the cycle path down to Crowthorne, and round the back of Broadmoor. Then across and through Wellington College grounds. The college currently closed of course, but walkers and cyclists still allowed through on the main Byron Road driveway.

Crickets ground... ready and waiting but no games for the foreseeable future. |
|
Cricket Pavillion, Wellington college. |
Now through the golf course, emerging at Heathermount Drive.
|
Golf course also closed, but greenkeeper out sprucing up the lawns. |
Finally back through Gorrick plantation, which was hard work on the e-bikes, with road tyres. It was OK, but not desperate to repeat that part of the journey on a bike. A handful of walkers also in Gorrick woods. Back home via Blagrove Lane.
