School kids are still off, so just us oldies out today! Jeanette, Andrea and myself peddled leisurely (9.5 average) over to Sonning for a cuppa at the Mill which has recently opened its doors at 11am for coffee/cake. It was raining at 8am, but thankfully it stopped just in time for our start.
route
Lots of puddles around again roday, but just one flood to go through, near Charvil, otherwise a clear run. River running very high at Sonning though. We went via Woodley, and returned via Charvil adn Dinton. Reminder.. that path through Dinton is pretty bumpy! Talking of bumpy, we bumped into Sally Whitehorn who I had not seen for years! (Jeanette sees her regularly).
Thanks for your company ladies. Good to get out.

We decided to walk over Sonning Bridge, so a chance to stop for a photo. George Clooney's house just behind the Willow tree. |

Our return trip took up up the hill ( of course it had to be) and crossed the A4 into Charvil. We drove down to the ford to check how it was looking, before doubling back to return to our planned route.
