Risley to Hartley Whitney and Stratfield Saye - no tea stop! 18 miles

A short ride with John this Sunday morning, starting at Risley. We turned into Part Lane, then right passed Thatchers Ford where it was badly flooded.

We made our way over to the main Bramshill Road, crossing over after a short distance and continued to Hartley Whitney. This was only about 8 miles so too soon for tea. We turned right and along the main road turning right at traffic light, and eventually passed West Green Gardens entrance.  Next passed Diply Mill, where the levels were really high today.

At the end of the road, we turned left and immediately right into Bottle Lane. A bit further on is where the Green Triangle is, where I once got lost. We turned left and climbed the short rise up the hill.We had to negotiate loads of water and debris, but managed to keep going. Then right turn passing Daneshill School,  before crossing the main road and along the edge of Stratfield Saye.  We had intended doing a longer loop here but the road was closed, so we took a right turn in to New Street and at the Iron Duke Pub crossroads, headed back towards Wellington Farm Shop. Decided just to come home for cuppa, but may expand this road for Breeze for another time.

Just for fun for the camera. We didn't actually continue on this this road.
