The plan today had been to drive to Lightwater where Stephanie had planned a ride to Chobham. I've not done that ride, but knew that parts of it is along tracks, and with loads of rain the last few days, it was decided to do that ride another time, when it's drier again. So instead, we met at FBC and headed over the familiar route to Wellington Farm Shop.
Route
Andrea was also booked on, so we cycled together from Woosehill. A new rider, Gillian also joined us today. Also nice to see Jackie back from her American travels.
At the top of Farley Hill and now on our way downhill. Stephanie and Jackie were also there, but their photo out of focus.

Andrea, Barbara, Linda B, Susie, Gillian, Kay |
We rode down The Street in Swallowfield, then into Trowes Lane, and up Charlton Lane, then diagonally across the Basingstoke Road into Barge Lane. Keeping right at the fork (avoiding Spring Lane), we continued along Barge Lane, where we needed to dismount to dash across the A33, to continue on Barge Lane. We emerged at the red brick square house (with the green triangle!).

Junction of Barge Lane and Bull Lane |
It's then a steady climb up Bull Lane and over to Wellington Farm Shop. It was just about warm enough to sit outside, but we didn't hang about too long today, since more heavy rain was forecast for mid day.

Time to move, before the rain comes |
We returned via Nutbush Lane and up Sawpit Lane, then dropped down through Farley Hill. We made it back before the rain, then a miserable wet afternoon followed.
Not feeling much like June.
