Cycling Buddies Garden Party

Over the last 3 years I have had the pleasure of getting to know a great bunch of ladies, all through Breeze Cycling. We normally meet up wearing crash helmets and Lycra so last night was another of those rare occasions that we dressed "normally", with no "helmet hair". I offered to host a Summer Social Gathering of the ones I see most regularly, or have known for a long time. A few couldn't make it, which is not surprising this time of year.

In order to share the load, I had split the ladies into 3 groups. A salads, B Protein, C Desserts, and each group coordinated to ensure a fabulous variety of food.

Following several weeks of sunshine and dry weather, the Garden Party was to commence at my home from 6.30ish. Tables and chairs, stored in the garage loft, were washed down and set out so that all 21 of us could sit at least whilst we ate.

A similar amount of seating was also available indoors just incase! But with more than 6 weeks of no rain, and temperatures in the 30's , we would be fine....... wouldn't we? Wouldn't we !!

We did not eat outside sadly, but at least a few took a tour of the garden once the rain stopped. A rare blood moon was also due to make an appearance around 9pm, but cloud cover ended that opportunity too.

Since we ended up indoors, we also watched a short film I made last summer based on a picture I have at home. It's called "The Picture". (took me ages to think of that title!)
