We started our ride in overcast skies, but by half way, it was a gorgeous day with blue skies and billowing clouds.
Thanks to Susie and Chris who already checked out this route yesterday. We were familiar with all part of the ride, but did a short section in a different direction to normal near Crazies Hill, to connect us to the Velolife coffee stop.

Our first stop beyond Waltham St Lawrence, to regroup. Looking up at lots of Mistletoe in the trees |
Starting the climb up Highfield Road towards Holy Cross. A gentle climb, but goes on a bit! |
Highfield Road just near the old Dutch Barn |
Looking back from Highfield Road towards what used to be a lovely Dutch barn, now a house. Green shoots in the fields, so spring is on its way. |
Re grouping at Holy Cross junction, just 5 mins from tea stop |
Velolife Cafe |
Then we crossed over the A4 heading to White Waltham, and I loved this BIG cloud
Blue skies with fabulous clouds |
Better catch them up now! |
We finished out ride coming through Shurlock Row, down the Straight Mile and back through Hurst.
I clocked up 27 miles in total and having not been out for a few weeks, feeling it !
