A beautiful spring morning, reaching 10 degrees and yet still snow on the edges at Stoke Row.
thanks to Stephanie, Susie and Elise our Breeze Champs. Stephanie's 100th ride!
Joining them were Linda B, myself and a new lady Jill, who arrived on her electric bike. We all kept up!
The route
Despite not having been out much recently, we ALL made it up Devil's hill from Harpsden, and the climb which continues for 15 miles (2000 feet ) to Russell's Water, before the big downhill to the Stonor Valley, then flat back into Henley. Tea Stop was at Stoke Row, at 9miles.
We had an interesting "rescue" operation as an elderly lady in a BMW pulled in to a gravel drive to allow a delivery lorry passed. She then got stuck. We all got off to push her off the mud, then realised she has lodged herself onto a timber post! She had no option but to reverse, tearing her bumper off in the process. Poor woman.
The remainder of the ride, thankfully uneventful.

At Cookley Green and the worst is over! Now all level or downhill |

After snow on the road at Russell's Water, we start the big descent into the Stonor Valley. Loved the light catching these timbers. |

Back on the riverside, asked a passerby for a group shot. |
