Since work is hectic next week, and won't be able to get with my Breeze Ladies group, decided to get out today with hubby as the forecast was for glorious sunshine. We had a very late night last night, so didn't feel up to a long ride, so 18 was just about right.
This route is on the link below, which takes a few seconds to open. Basially, started at Stoke Row, and after a bit of incline, took off left down towards Hailey and Crowmarch Gifford. All very easy going.

Tea stop at The Waterfront Cafe at Benson, where the Garmin showed 21 degrees! It was infact only 8 degrees
so just shows how much heat is bounced off decking!!" |
And now it's all uphill, but gentle at first through Benson and on to Eweleme.

Ewelme Pond |
After leaving Ewelme, we turned RIGHT at the 10.5 mile mark. Previously I had only turned LEFT, up a huge hill to Swyncome. The alternative route was the same climb, but more gradual........ until it wasn't, up Brixton Hill, into Nuffield.
Just before the big climb, we did a short detour around Oakley Court, a square with properties around 3 sides, including this clock tower built in 1903.

Once we reached Nuffield, mostly down hill to Stoke Row. 18 miles in total. Gorgeous weather.
