My bike computer read 31 miles both times I have done this route, but mapped out its 30, so I may have gone wrong somewhere on the map.
The Route (takes a few seconds to open)
A big group today of 11 ladies, 3 new to me. Some cycled from Crowthorne, so did an extra 10 miles or so, and other from Finchampstead an extra 7 miles. (well done!) We officially started from Dinton Pastures and first photo stop was at the pond in Shurlock Row. The pond was covered in pond weed however, so no water visible.

Turning into Butcher's Lane at White Waltham. Liliana leads the way. |

Crossing the Knowle Hill bridal circuit. Not so picturesque as it was earlier in the season but still pretty. |
Then as we left this path, to cut through some woodland, poor Linda came off and landing in a load of nettles. She really suffered and arms and legs were stinging badly. Felt so sorry for her.
|
Carole was ready with the Anthesian sting cream, and some Jelly Babies for a sugar intake for Linda to help with the shock. |
After a few minutes, on our way again, arriving at The Crown at Burchettes Green, where we turned right, and over all the horrible speed bumps.
Around the roundabout. crossing the main A404, and soon the entrance to Stubbings Nursery.

Entrance to the nursery |
A few artists were at work today painting some plants.......
The route to EXIT the nursery means taking the bikes through the shop which always amuses me.
Finally a regrouping next to the pond at Hurst, where the water levels are way down!

A lovely ride, which due to Carole leading on her new bike, and a few road bikes with us was at a fair pace today! Phew. And then off to see a new prospective customer. Hope I dont nod off!!
