A new ride today organised by Breeze champ Stephanie. We met at The Shoulder of Mutton pub, Hazeley and headed off our normal route to Hartley Witney.
The route takes a few seconds to open. I found this quite tough today as it seemed to be constantly uphill, and no flatish bits. The profile confirms the constant ups and downs, and that we gained 1300 feet overall. My last last in climbing 2 valleys in the Chilterns was only an extra 300 feet so I didnt imaging it afterall!!
It was warming up by the time we got to Hartley Witney, so a stop to peel off layers, and first photo opportunity.
The ride seemed to be gently uphill a lot of the way, so good to stop for the occasional breather.
I shot ahead at this point... a rare chance for some photos!

I need a new camera which can capture these on the move shots in focus! Oh I have one. It's called a DSLR, but too heavy to lug around.

The pub only just started servicing cake last week. It was very nice. Coffee and Walnut cake |
