Mill Lane, Henley to Stoke Row 24 miles

A lovely ride today in the Chilterns, led by me ,and we didn't get lost!. Amazing!!
I last did this ride with hubby in March. Sadly many of those I invited, were not free to join us, so just me, Susie and Kelly.

Route (takes a few seconds to open)

Kelly fancied a few more miles, so parked in Hurst, and cycled to Mill Lane to join me and Susie.

A quick breather after Devil's Hill. Some of us didn't quite make it!

Left at The Unicorn at Peppard Common into Wyfold Lane

Kelly  never been to Stoke Row before, so a quick stop at The Maharaja's Well

The next few taken with the open views at Park Corner. Hotting up by  now, with a clear sky and sunshine.

Still at Park Corner, this little cottage garden visible through a gap in the hedge.

At Russell's Water now, and baby ducks in the pond....

Approaching 12.00 so we decided to have lunch at the 5 Horshoes... except it it  not open on Mondays!!! Bummer. Never mind, we went into the pub garden and took a few photos anyway.

Plenty of Red Kites flying around today.
Crossing the common at Russell's Water, and the buttercups looking gorgeous with the blue sky.

And then Wheeeeeee....... a mile downhill to the Stonor Valley

Since none of us were rushing back, we decided to have a leisurely lunch stop at The Quince Tree sitting out enjoying the sunshine.

Then back through Henley and along the tow path to Mill Lane at Marsh Lock.... whilst Kelly cycled the extra miles back to Hurst.

Lovely ride. Thanks for your company!
