Wokingham to Hartley Wintney - 24.5 miles

A repeat of a ride I last did with Breeze on 19th March.   Route

Last time we went,  my Blog was in  monochrome, since it was a grey day. Today, 5 ladies cancelled at short notice since the forecast was showers and very strong winds.  The early part of the ride was gorgeous weather, but cycling into wind made it hard work.

Stephanie, Susie, Kay, Carole and Yvonne. All safely across the ford.  Susie was much relieved!

Gorgeous light in the country lanes.

I include this plant as a test as to who can remember it's name. It was much discussed.  I will tell you at the end of the blog.

Lovely and warm in the protected Courtyard Cafe. Waitress kindly took this photo.
She should have been getting those Cappuccinos made!

We did a good pace today, especially on the way back, with rain threatening. No time for photos!

We all made it back to our meeting point at FBC, without any rain. But....... I still had 3.5miles to go.

Got soaked on the way home.

The name of "that" plant for Stephanie's benefit is "Erysium Bowles Mauve." Purple Perennial Wallflower. They do well for about 3 years, then tend to die off.

Nice  ride, with good company. Thanks to Stephanie for organising.
