Most of us have done this ride a few times now, but its always a pleasant ride. Lots of other bikes out today being Saturday, and as we started our" official ride" at Dinton Pastures, a Skyride was also starting off for a trip to Benson!

As we line up to leave Dinton, the Sky riders are off in front,...never saw them again. |

Broadcommon lane meets The Staight Mile, and at my 14 mile point, we pass the entrance to Haines Hill House, built around 1630, and owned by the Godsal family. More info in Haines Hill's historyhere. Haines Hill |

A mile further on, and we arrive at The Duck Pond in Hurst where some riders are also enjoying the sunshine. |

We regrouup at the top of the rise Castle Hill, and ahead are the Grade II listed Almshouses built in 1664 |

Hurst Parish Church just opposite the Alms Houses has some parts dated to 13th and 14th century. |

At around 16 miles, we turn into Lines Road |
