After picking Susie up from Crowthorne in the van, we drove and park above Wargrave. Our first few miles took us through Crazies Hill, and out to Remenham Hill. A very overcast day.
We enjoyed the long mile or so freewheel down to Hambleden Lock at the Thames

At Hambleden Lock. Its only November, and the river is already very high. |
Debris gathering at the weir. I wonder if we will have a repeat of last year when garden benches were amongst the debris? |
A guard of honour seagull style awaits us ,crossing the river |
After tea and mince pie at Hambleden Village store, we cycled a bit further, still with grey skies.
Time pressures today meant we needed to plan to head back soon. |
And now we prepare for the climb back up Rememham hill! Well done Susie, who made it in one. I followed 30 seconds behind. |

Retracing our steps back through Crazies Hill and to the Van, parked up above Wargrave. 14 miles. |
