After weeks of hot weather, and no rain, we finally got a good amount of rain overnight, and set off in 15 degrees this morning, wearing light jackets. It felt cool! AND the wind was over 20mph today.😖

big clouds as we all met at Cantley Park. |
We climbed over Carters Hill, where the "Kangaroo" shaped route was to go along a track, passing the archery club, to connect to Ryehurst Lane. But with last night's rains, we scrapped the idea of all the off roads sections today.

Making our way to Paley Street, (also scrapped Long Lane), then to Holyport and Bray, we dismounted to use the Monkey Island bridge. It could do with bit of maintenance!

The pedestrian bridge is in there somewhere! It was also quite slippery in places. A few wey heys! |
Just short of Dorney cafe, a quick look at Dorney church. Only to find a film crew were at Dorney House, filming a period drama.

We wiggled our usual way via Braywick area, then down Kimber Lane, to go over the pedestrian bridge over the A308, to reach Ockwell Park.
Across the very bumpy Woodlands Park Road, to join Haywood Farm Barns Road, and onto tarmac once more.

Full team today Linda, Dave, Daphne, John and me. |
A couple of miles now on the main road to Waltham St Lawrence, to reach Plough Lane (Mire Lane idea scrapped), and back to Cantley via Hurst Lanes.
Nice to see everyone. Daphne and I just back from our Wiltshire trip, so with today's mileage she is thrilled to have peddled 130 miles this week. Well done. 😇 (I'm off to the Circus next Monday... to watch it, not join it!)
