Monday club, with me and the boys! Kim on holiday, Linda resting her wrists after riding with me yesterday and Daphne still very unwell with Shingles. I planned today's route to try out the Street Bakery in Lychpit, just around the corner from the Bakery in Old Basing. (same owners) The Bakery open 6 days (not Monday), but the Lychpit Courtyard open 7 days.
We picked up Dave, and Steve was already at Mattingley when we arrived having ridden there. It was cool and we all had a long sleeved second layer on today which never did come off. Just 12 degrees at the start, but still all wearing shorts and fingerless gloves. brrr.

We started by heading to Hartley Wintey on West Green Road, and cutting through on Grange Lane to the A30. A dogleg then, with temporary traffic light control, into the "closed" Dilly Lane. (handy for us!)
We left HW on Taplins Farm Road, over the M3, continuing to Dogmersfield. Normally, I would carry on through to Crookham, but today to ring the changes, we turned right into Church Lane, where we stopped for my nose blow, and where there was an elderly gent outside, and got talking to the boys. His wife sadly inside with dementia.

I've not been along this road for a very long time. It changes it name to Chalky Lane. It was very pleasant, but ends at the A287 Farmham Road, where we have to dogleg over. But it has a filter lane, so we managed fine with just 4 of us. Then into Hillside, which ends at Cemetry Hill into Odiham.

The 1st right turn from this road is Blackstocks Lane, to pass Millers Ark Animals and dash across the A30 to Newnam. The 2nd right turn, is Andwell Lane to dash across the A30 a little further along to climb on Water End Lane to join Newnam Road. The 3rd right is the one we used today, over the M3, to soon turn into a cycle path (route 23?) to cross the A30, and climb Hatch Lane to Old Basing.

Continuing along Barton's Lane, we joined Pyotts Hill and then a familiar route on cycle paths on green tunnels through Chinnor, then on Cufaud Lane to Bramley.
