Monday ride, and since Daphers is still recovering from a horrible chest infection, we kept to a shorter, easier route today. Linda wasn't complaining. 😉
I peddled to Linda, cutting through a VERY muddy Nashgrove Lane to then peddle down another very messy Heath Ride to Crowthorne. I had polished my bike last week.😓
We met Daphne and she led us around the back of Wellington College and onto a familiar route around the bottom of Broadmoor. Then across Rackstraw Road, to drop down through Owlsmoor, to cross the main road in Sandhurst into Shepherds Meadow. The path was fine other than a short section ibmediately before the railway crossing.
We wiggled our way to Derby Green, across Cricket Hill Road, and through the back of Yateley to Firgrove Road. I hadnt taken any photos, until Up Green where "Garden Cottage" caught my eye, with its pretty blossom tree.

Waiting for me whilst I took the cottage photo. |
We were going to stop at the Chequers, but then I suggested we keep going to get the hill done whilst we were still warmed up? OK, Greyhound, or keep going to Church Lane and to California Park?
California Park. Looking like the Mediterranean today. But not quite so warm! |

We sat out, in the sunshine, but had cooled off by the time we had finished our drinks. Round the side of the lake to join the Greenway. Back at Gorse Ride, Daphne headed home, whilst Linda was up for a few more miles, so accompanied me as far as the top of Blagrove Lane.

Nice to see you both, and well done Daphne for getting out after a couple of weeks of being unwell. I am on Nannie duty next 2 Mondays, but hope we can get out again soon.
