A chance to see Jamie today, since he spent Christmas with his Dad this year. Shortly before he arrived, I was checking the pressure on my ebike tyres, only to find a puncture. (Jamie to use the ebike). John leapt into action and got it ready, and we set off when Jamie arrived. After just a couple of miles, Jamie was finding his ankle hurting more than normal (an ongoing issue), so regrettably we decided to just go as far as Ludgrove, then turn back.
We saw 5 Heron there today, but the lane and as far as Luckley school was heaving with walkers

John decided to go a bit further and visit Roger in Crowthorne, while Jamie and I returned home and did some Christmas present swapping. John did 10 miles, had coffee with Roger, and was back in time for cold turkey sandwiches. Windows open for a more Covid friendly environment. Jamie only stayed for a short visit, but left with a couple of turkey dinners. 😋What a sad state we are in.
