Wokingham to Yateley via Easthampstead Park - 25 miles

I led a Breeze ride today meeting up with Denise at Woosehill, and picking up Becky, Rachael, Lisa and Louise at the bottom of Blagrove Lane.  It was a gorgeous morning, and with the mix in the group, I asked if they were happy to add about 5 more miles? Of course they were!  So we headed initially passed Ludgrove School, then turned left and over to Easthampstead Park.

Route

Passing Ludgrove and the cows in the field
opposite to their usual field today

From Easthampstead Park, we skirting around the back emerging near Downshire Golf course. Loved this big oak tree hanging over the green space.

We then headed up the Easthampstead Road, crossing the first of 2 fords today, then down Honeyhill, through Ravenswood Village and through Wellington College grounds.  From here, we took the cycle path towards Sandhurst but turned right at the lights beyond Eagle House School, and cut through Little Sandhurst on Longdown Road, joining up with Sandy Lane. (actually muddy lane! I was on my road bike, so not ideal, but not for long before back on tarmac).  Next down Lower Church Road and over to tea at Yateley.  Nice day so we sat outside.

After a longish tea break (service a bit slow) we did a bit of a loop to pick up the route, and realised that next time, I need to cut through the back of the church. Not a problem, then on our way towards Eversley, where we kept left before the pub, and continued to Warbrook to cross the ford at Eversley. Lisa said that last week the bridge was almost under water after heavy rain!

All fine at Eversley ford today but not last week!

Back via California where Rachael and Becky left us, and the rest of us continued separating at Blagrove Lane.

25 miles for me, and a bit more or less for the others.

Well done ladies. See you again soon.
