Susie cycled over from Crowthorne and I met her at Cantley. The winds today was very gusty at around 30mph so we had to work hard. I used my road bike today, since I seem to have lost the power in my legs on my heavier ebike yesterday. I was much relieved that my legs were fine on my road bike, and although not a hilly ride, nothing felt too difficult, even with the wind.
We went round the Hurst Lanes, then up the hill past the vineyard to Twyford. Castle End Lane to Warren Row, Waltham St Lawrence, round the back of the Old Bell and back with Smewins Road to Shurlock Row, where we stopped for our snack next to the pond. Finally over the motorway at the golf course into Wokingham.
Susie is clocking her miles towards a fund raising page, and probably did 30 miles by the time she got home. (think that was more than she had planned, but good towards her weekly commitment!)
Forgot my camera, but took a couple on my phone.
Took some video here too. The crops were swirling in the wind! |
