Unusually we rode after lunch today, since we had a zoom call this morning with our friend Debi on the occasion of her 60th birthday.
So after lunch we set off towards Binfield, heading for Fifield area. We had done much of this route recently when we went to Bray, but did not go quite as far today. I had indigestion most of the way, so note to self, not to ride after lunch!
route
Initially, we passed Binfield Dog Rescue then to Bottle Lane, and out the back of Moss End. Right towards Maidens Green, and along Winkfield Lane, to connect to the Drift Road. Left, then right towards Fifield. Then left, (passing the lanes we turned down recently towards Bray) we continued all the way to the edge of Holyport. Roads very quiet again, so although mainish roads, no problem. A left turn at Holyport then right towards Paley Street.
Looking for somewhere to stop for a snack, I suggested Paley Street, at Paley Street. This lane becomes no through to traffic, and I had been on it a few times with Breeze going over to White Waltham as an alternative route. We found the ideal spot to stop...
We went as far as the M4 bridge, then turned back and decided to leave that route for another day since we had already done almost 20 miles.
Our return route was to White Waltham and Shurlock Row. I spotted this field on The Straight Mile with an usual patter of two tone crops, and the middle section of the field is also longer than the other areas. Strange.
Finally back via Hurst Lanes, and Cantley.
