Wargrave to Radnage - 30 miles 1588 feet

Starting at Upper Wargrave, I rode with John today across Hambleden Weir, up the nasty Rotten Row road, then made our way to Lane End. Mostly uphill first 11 miles.

route

First stop Lane End Church.

Then crossing over the M40, a bit of rest bite on the flat and nice downhill towards West Wycombe.

Next heading to Radnage along the lovely Bottom Lane. The red kites swooping right down following the tractor.

A patchwork of fields along Bottom Lane
And after the climb up, the drop down to Radnage... before we start climbing again.

A left turn at Waterend, then across the A40 at Beacon's Bottom, we continue up and down, with some steep inclines, finally passing through some pretty woodland on Bigmore Lane. (Had to stop for 3 horses to let them through).
Then crossing over the M40, our climbing almost finished as we drop down Chequers Lane to emerge at Fingest  church.  We finally stopped for drink and snack on a bench just outside of Skirmet, not far from the pretty English Country Garden of this cottage.

On now down the Hambleden Valley, where lots of families were picnicking by the stream.

Back over the weir and up to Wargrave once more, where just 100 yards short of our parking spot, I met Sharon from Camera club out for a walk.
