Odiham to Holybourne - 30 miles 1485 feet

It's Bank Holiday Monday which atm means absolutely nothing. ie nothing open as yet due to lockdown. With bikes loaded into our van, we set off to start our ride from the canalside at Odiham.

Route

The first 15 miles was uphill, then a BIG down into Holybourne, then up again until the last few  miles.

Initially the route was familiar leaving Odiham to Greywell. Then we took a right turn toward Up Nateley and then a new part for me towards Mapledurwell.

Stopping for a breather at the top of the hill before we drop down to Weston Patrick

And now we drop down. Whee.
Next after we the Golden Pot junction, a climb up part of  Froyle Road, then a right turn still climbing in to Brockhamhill Road, and if finally flattened out. These view to our left.
Somewhere out there. Big views.
Then a BIG downhill, where we stopped to sit on a log and these views to our left. (looking towards Alton)

snack stop
We continued this long downhill and came to a pretty village called Holybourne. If only we had waiting! Bench by the duckpond on in the church grounds.

Very unusual graves, to stop grave robbers.

Continuing into Holybourne Main Street, this cottage and  further along, the village shop.
Undulations now is the name of the game, as we head to Isington, passing the old Mill.

And then into Bentley, quite flat, until another big climb,  in the direction of Well.
