Used my hybrid today, since I wanted to use my GoPro, and the connector only fits the hybrid handlebars. (note... must get a larger holder!)
Anyway, enjoyed using the Trek Hybrid. A different ride position, more upright, and more comfortable than my road bikes.
Because of the "work from home" policy due to the Coronavirus, the main road were generally very quiet, so we took the opportunity to use a few roads that we would normally avoid, starting with the Finchampstead Road.
route
From Finch roundabout, at Bob's chip shop, we continued over, then up past Finch church. Next down Fleet Hill which was empty all the way to the Tally Hoe. From here, through St Neots, to the Bramshill Road, where we used the forest track to join up to Ford Lane, passing Thatchers Ford. Then right in to School Lane, skirting the edges of Wellington Country Park. I;ve not been on this lane for a while, and realised we could see into the grounds of Heckfield Place. We stopped for a drink at Wellesley Water Meadows, where we sat on a railway sleeper.
We returned via Riseley, adding an extra loop, going up Bull under the A33, then a right and another right into Barge Lane, where you dash across the A33 back to Swallowfield side.

The road from Swallowfield passed Henry Street Garden Centre was "closed" , so we rode there traffic free, and then straight over the roundabout at the Bull at Arborfield and back via Sindlesham road. This is not a road we would normally use, and it was surprisingly busy, considering lockdown.
Finally, back to Sadlers End, next to Walter Arms, and then Simons Lane.
Lovely to be out again. Boris Johnson in IC unit in hospital today, so the country is waiting for news of his health. Worrying time.
