Wokingham to Hartley Wintney - 33 miles

I led today's ride to Hartley Wintney, and billed it as a 23 mile ride, for those starting from Wokingham. 3 would join me at FBC, for a shorter ride.

BUT it was such a lovely day, that on our return trip we decided to lengthen the ride. Well done ladies! Also, Linda and Julie had ridden from Bracknell and Hazel from home too, so they would  have done 40+ miles.  We made it home in time before the heavens opened. At least I did.... I hope they did too.

We left FBC along Nine Mile Ride, which is still closed for roadworks, so was empty! Bliss. Then down Park Lane and across Everley Ford. Bramshill was probably going to be very messy, so we split into 2 groups and road the Bramshill Road instead. First photo taken just as we regrouped in Plough Lane.

Next stop Hartley Wintney, at the church for tea.
The pretty woodland in the centre of HW.

I then got a little  ahead to attempt some action shots....

We returned via West Green Road, and since some had never seen Dipley Mill, we continued with an extra loop to take in the Mill.

Then once up the undulations and through Hazley, we opted to extend our ride to return via Swallowfield. I tried to get the whole group together riding with strict instructions to use the whole width of the (very quiet) road. Almost made it!
This one includes Hazel but not Julie

We returned via Swallowfield Road and up over Farley Hill, then through Arborfield.

Well done everyone. A lovely morning out, with great company.
