Myself, Martina and Lynne rode out today in drizzly conditions most of the way over to Yateley. Martina realised at the last minute that her bike was broken, so arrived on Lynne's husbands old touring bike. Turned out Martina loved it!
Route
We set off across Wokingham, and through passed Ludgrove, then cut through Ravenswood Village.
The, passed Crowthorne Station, left at the roundabout and soon into Ambarrow Lane, and around Horshoe Lake over the Eversley. I had worked out a slightly different route to usual avoid what I thought could be pretty muddy, and soon back on the more familiar route from Yateley to Eversley.
A bit of tea and toast at the Chequers, before up the hill to Finchampstead including Dell Road. Lynne and Martina's first experience of Dell Road. Both did well.
Now across into Wick Hill Lane, which was a bit muddy, but further along new tarmac made it a lot better than some roads are at the moment. For speed, since I had to back promptly for a lunch date, we just took the main roads into Finch, and eventually through Nashgrove Lane, and Blagrove Lane.
16 miles in all, so 76 miles for me this week. I have to admit to switching on my green power button just for the last 100 yards on Blagrove Lane.
Thanks for your company ladies, and hope that we get manage a full compliments of the group sometime soon.
