Woosehill Ladies - Sonning Loop 17 miles

Thanks to Andrea who led 4 of us today on the Sonning Loop. Some parts new to Lynne and Martina which was good.

We have not seen Lynne since pre school summer holidays, so lots of catching up to do enroute today.
Got my new Garmin delivered yesterday at last, so was able to record the ride, even if route if familiar to me. Average speed was not very good at 5.7mph, however some of the paths were off road, so naturally slower. Used my Trek bike today, so have used all 3 of my bikes this week!😁

Route

Passing through Dinton at around 9.15, a very tranquil scene and blue sky all the way.

Then through Sonning Churchyard, where I took the next couple of photos.

We need to push our bikes through the churchyard since no cycling allowed. Not long after we left the other side onto the Thames Path, I spotted this amazing site of smoke and sunbeams. Since the others (non photographers) had completely missed it, I dragged them back to take a look. I knew I would change it to black and white!

We continued along the Thames Path, then cut through at Thames Valley Park, making our way over to Woodley for tea at The Oakwood Centre.  Not long after, we lost Martina for a few minutes, as she stopped for a moment, and then missed a left turn. We were soon re-united, and wiggled across Woodley and back through Dinton once more.

Fabulous weather, but its all going to change on Sunday... or will it?
