Andrea who got in touch many months ago to join the (Woosehill Ladies Cycling Group) WLCG, finally made it out with us today. I had planned a 28 mile ride, but Andrea was a bit concerned about her fitness as still not fully recovered from a bad fall. She knew she could do 14. I made a new plan for a 20 mile ride. 20 is not that much more than 14, is it?
Route
Just 3 of us today, and we set off from Woosehill, heading for Finchampstead, and out through Arborfield to Farley Hill.
As we turned off Church Road into Bunces Shaw (the climb) we passed some lovely bluebells at eye level, and a field full of geese. I loved how this group of geese lined up in formation for me.

Top of the hill, and now we go left |
We turned down the beautiful Sandpit and Nutbean Lane. Ooops. Chain off , but with a handy stick Jeanette soon it back on, and no dirty fingers.

Stopped in Nutbean Lane. These hi-vis jackets are a nightmare to photograph! |
Now along the quiet Part Lane towards Risley.

We were heading for Wellington Farm Shop. It was really busy inside (and very noisy) and were very happy to sit outside in the by now, warm sunshine.

We returned skirting around Bramshill, and crossed the ford at Eversley, before cutting through California Country Park.

A lovely ride, and Andrea was very pleased that she was feeling OK by the end of 20 miles. Well done! Hope you will be out with us again on a regular basis.
