Wokingham to Swallowfield - 20miles

The Woosehill Cycling Group today was led by Jeanette. It was a route I was pretty familiar with, but nice that another rider was willing to take the lead.  A beautiful sunny morning, but very COLD and NO TEA STOP!  My garmin awarded me a "Frosty Badge".

We were joined by new member Martina and her 10 year old son, since an inset day at his school. They did not have the fastest bikes, so our pace was slower than we would have liked, especially on such a cold day. But they enjoyed being out, and did well all things considered. Martina tried out both of our bikes, and agrees that she needs some new wheels.

We crossed through Finchampstead to Arborfield and up Farley Hill.

At the crossroads at the top of Farley Hill , we turned left, and then the lovely downhill into Sawpit Lane. A bit messy this time of year, but a lovely lane, which re-emerges as Nutbean Lane.

Next on to Swallowfield and Part Lane.

Now left into School Lane, where 10 year old Vince was very impressed that we crossed into Hampshire.

Eventually turning into Bramshill Plantation

Across the ford at Eversley, and back via California Country Park , Nashgrove Lane, and Blagrove Lane.

Third ride this week, which helps since still got Christmas Chocolates to get through.
