Wokingham Crowthorne Bracknell Binfield - 32 miles

The same ride I did 2 weeks a go as a recce with Chris and Susie except this time I cycled from home, so clocked up 32 miles.

A grey overcast day, but 10 degrees so not at all cold for December.

A few us met at Susie's in Crowthorne and cycled over to Bracknell to the official start at SHP.  A new lady, Eda, joined us for the first time, and within a few minutes was dealing with a puncture on Linda's bike. Nightmare to get the tyre off and back on, but "we " managed. Eda has good experience of punctures as she did lots of cycling in Holland over the years.

So, lots of cycle paths through Bracknell, which are quite slow going with stop/start barriers at times, and we stopped at Mill Lake for a team photo.

Our tea stop was at Ashridge Manor Shop on the Forrest Road Wokingham. Lottie met up with us but because we were running late, had to dash off. She is moving to Exeter tomorrow. We shall miss her on our rides.

Susie has a big birthday tomorrow, so we arranged a candle in her cake today, and presented her with a card that all the Breeze riders had signed over the last few weeks. Happy Birthday Susie!

Then back via Cantley and across Wokingham towards Easthampstead Park.

At Cantley Field
I branched off once we reached the Ford south of Wokingham returning via Ludgrove School, where a glimmer of light was in the sky, but that was as good as it got today.

My route back via Ludgrove School
Thanks to Chris and Susie for organising us today. Next week..... silly Christmas outfits are required!
