Crowthorne, Bracknell, Binfield, Wokingham loop - 25 miles

This was a new recce ride today with Champs Susie and Chris. Beautiful sunny day, with some bright autumnal leaves just about hanging on. Not sure how entirely accurate my  map is around Bracknell, but the rest is right.

The Route

I drove to Susie's in Crowthorne. We dropped in to collect Chris enroute over to South Hill Park following  a familiar route. Bracknell has excellent cycle paths, with plenty of trees around, so it can be pretty in places, with the right light as it was today.

As this ride is to start next week from SHP Susie was going to follow her Garmin with  a pre loaded route..... or so she hoped!

Weaving our way through the paths parallel to Nine Mile Ride near The Look Out

interesting Bridge (which we did not cross today)

Never been here before. This is  Mill Park, off Mill Lane, right in the centre of Bracknell!
We continued weaving our way across Bracknell, and eventually down Jock's Lane heading over towards Warfield. We emerged at the junction near the Stag and Hounds and disappeared into the country lane of Hazlewood Lane, and Stubbs Hill before turning into Binfield at the Church. Along Monks Alley, where this next photo was taken.

Monks Alley. A bit muddy in places but carpeted with leaves made it manageable

Then along Forest Road and a bit to eat at Ashridge Manor Garden Centre.

Then cut through Cantley Park, and across the back of Wokingham, emerging at The Three Frogs Pub on the London Road. Down Priest Avenue and across Waterloo Rail Crossing. Then a kind of loop around the edges of Jennets Park, and around the Downshire Golf Course.

Back via Easthampstead Road and across the ford the Honey Hill.

25 miles in total and a good day to be out enjoying the sunshine. I hope that the "official" ride next Wednesday will enjoy such good weather too.
