I led 4 friends today on a ride, meeting up at Blagrove Lane/Barkham Road junction. A dull over cast day, with strong winds forecast, so just a few photos to prove we were out there. I took some photos on this route 2 weeks ago on a glorious day when it all looked quite different. (a few photos at the end)
From Barkham Road, we crossed Wokingham through quieter road and cut throughs, out onto Matthewsgreen Road, and through Cantley Park. We continued out to Binfield Road, round the back lanes of Binfield, and eventually out to Shurlock Row.
We often turn right at the pond in Shurlock Row, but this route took us left instead.... new territory!

Some really nice quiet, if a bit muddy, country lanes for a few miles, all flat (ish) our only problem was gusty winds. Always infront of us of course.
Approaching Hurst, we turned in Broadcommon Road, and spotted some lambs, the first I have seen this year.

Then a climb towards Wokingham, over the motorway to our Tea Stop, Ashridge Manor Farm..... Disaster.....CLOSED ON MONDAY!!
A quick call home to check that my husband had not eaten all the Eccles Cakes he made yesterday, and we were saved!
