A decision last night to get out cycling this morning, as missed last weeks ride, and will miss this week too. So out with hubby today, starting at Mill Lane Henley, He took his Garmin, so recorded the route
HERE
We headed along the towpath towards Henley, through the town, and out towards Stonor. Loads of Kites out today, and great attraction to the poor Pheasant who was their next meal.

Up the Stonor Valley |
Balhams Lane, just north of Stonor. Quite a steep climb of 192mtr. Just one stop to catchour breath, then on to the top.
On a ridge now and heading towards Northend |
The donkey field. Lucky donkeys! |
John |
Having made the first big climb up, we are soon rewarded with a big down from Northend to Turville
Stopping part way down towards Turville and the Hawthorn Hedges bursting in to life |
Turville Churchyard |
Turville Churchyard |
Now on through Fingest and another climb this time 160mtrs up to Freith and along Chisbridge Lane. This is the duck pond at Chisbridge Farm. Very posh! Loads of Iris just starting to reappear.
The view at Parmoor Lane, Freith |
And now the second big downhill of the day. Shogmoor Lane, Frieth to Skirmett. REALLY steep at first, and arms ached holding on the brakes. The it levels out a bit to more normal descent.
Shogmoor Lane, towards Skirmett |
Part way down Shogmoor Lane a couple of new build houses. Love the one on the left, a mix of grey timber, brick and glass.
The second house with a really interesting roof structure. |
And now to Hambleden for toasted tea cakes. Then across the weir, and followed Remenham Lane back to Henley. Gorgeous weather starting at 2degrees but warms up to about 8degrees.
