Riseley to Bramley - 24 miles

Another new ride today taking in some bits of other rides and by starting at Riseley we went out as far as Bramley. Thanks to Stephanie for organising a new route, and a great tea stop too!

The route (takes a few seconds to open)

I think I have the route planned out, or nearly if not entirely accurate. Will update when I get confirmation from Stephanie. Basically, Riseley, Stratfield Mortimer, Silchester, Bramley, Statifield Saye, Heckfield, then round the back of Wellington Country Park, to Riseley.

Most of us parked up at Riseley Memorial Hall, but 2 ladies cycled to the start. Ravinder from Finchampstead and a lady who cycled 17 miles from Bracknell...... to the start! She must have done 58 miles round trip. Wow!

Today's team Stephanie, Carole, Kelly, Carol, Susie, Ravinder, Me and Chris ( wearing  a new blue jacket with threw us all several times!)

Carol's cycle rack.........

Stephanie's bike fits in her car........

Kelly's bike goes on the roof......

Susie had a towbar dual cycle carrier.
Grey skies unfortunately today
Think I was chatting too much as I completely missed the walls at Silchester!

I borrowed hubbies Fuji camera today to try to get some moving shots in focus for a change.
(My  little camera is too slow)

Chris in her new blue jacket causing great confusion since she is normally luminous.

There's always a Church Lane somewhere on our travels.

Waiting for the barriers at Bramley station... the green sign of the Village Shop tantilisingly close! That's tea stop.

With only a few tables inside, we filled the shop.

Carol and Ravinder

Tea stop over, we start the second half of the loop, heading towards Stratfield Saye.
A nice ride, even in grey weather. Still quite mild for the time of year and too hot at times today when  cycling uphill.... which seemed to happen quite a lot. How does that happen?
