A group of us were asked to be photographed to promote the new cycle lanes on the Reading Road and also at Lower Earley.
We met at Shute End offices, and headed off on the Reading Road towards Winnersh using cycle lanes where possible,

We seemed to run out of cycle lanes at times! |
We liaised photographer Helen at Halfords, then we rode up and down the Reading Road several times whilst she took shots from a variety of positions. Some of Helen's shots below. and a link to her website

Next we moved on to the Lower Earley Road, where a new cycle lane was recently introduced.

This poor male cyclist was surrounded! |

Helen's wanted to achieve a sense of speed and motion blur in her shots, where is exactly where she got!
The dicing with death..... she lay on the ground to produce these........

After our photoshoot, we cycled across Lower Earley on quiet lanes, eventually crossing over the A329, and UNDER the A3290 via an underpass.
We then road along Clivedale Road, passing Kipling Close. Carole suggested just think of cakes as in Mr Kipling. The next road was Keats and then Shelley, so nothing to do with cakes! The cakes however were waiting at Dinton Pastures.

An unusual ride as such, but it was about the cycle lane photoshoot today. I did however learn a few more cut throughs, so an interesting ride after all. Thanks for organising Jill.
